DOJ Sues Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu ’07 Over Sanctuary City Policy
Because of the rigid enforcement by the Cambridge Fire Department of the technicalities of the City Fire Code, the Committee in charge of the 1921 Smoker, scheduled for tomorrow night in the Union, has announced that the entertainment has been indefinitely postponed. The authorities refused a permit for the smoker when they learned that the Senior Class was holding its smoker there this evening. The Fire Department stated that it was contrary to rules to permit two entertainments to be held in the Union on two successive nights. The reason for the regulation being in the Code is unknown. Sometime before the end of the year the Class of 1921 will hold this postponed smoker.
