Aerial Race for Coolidge Cup Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In memory of Lieutenant Hamilton Coolidge '19, who was killed by a fall of his aeroplane in France last fall, the Liberty Loan Committee of New England has offered a cup to be presented to the member of the flying circus who makes the fastest time in a race from Springfield to Boston. Originally scheduled for Thursday the race was postponed until today on account of inclement weather and high winds. If good weather prevails the aviators, six in number, will start from Springfield about 9 o'clock this morning, and will arrive over Boston between 11 and 12. In the afternoon they will fly over the city, scattering Liberty Loan literature, performing stunts, ending the exhibition with a sham battle demonstrating the methods of actual aerial combat.
