FIRST 1922 GAME TODAY

FRESHMEN OPEN SEASON AGAINST WATERTOWN HIGH SCHOOL ON SOLDIERS FIELD AT 4 O'CLOCK.

This afternoon the baseball season will open for the Freshman team when they meet Watertown High School at Soldiers Field at 4 o'clock. The game was scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, but was put forward one day at the request of the Watertown management.

The 1922 nine has been developing very rapidly during the past few days, and is expected to play a good game tomorrow. The work of the infield has been especially noticeable in the early practice games of the season. There are several able pitchers, but the choice for today's contest will lie between E. F. Goode and W. B. Rice, either of whom should be able to hold Watertown to a few hits.

Two infielders expected to show to excellent advantage today are S. R. Smith and A. J. Conlon, the first baseman and shortstop. The former's powerful batting should be a potent factor in the team's success. Conlon is probably the most sensational Freshman infielder that has played for several years, as well as a clever man at bat and on the bases.
