Thirty thousand dollars has been set as the minimum amount to be subscribed by the undergraduates of the University in the Victory Liberty Loan Campaign. This sum has been divided among the four classes of the college in proportion to their enrollment at the last registration. Subscriptions of unclassified and out-of-course students will be credited to the class with which the purchaser will graduate.
The drive will open today in the college and throughout the country, lasting until May 10. Bonds of denominations from $50 up may be bought by one of three methods: in monthly installments, with a payment of 5 per cent down; in three payments with 5 per cent down; or out right. They may be purchased through any bank and credited to the University. Bonds will pay 4 and 3-4 per cent. interest, and expire in 1923, although the government has the right to call them back one year earlier.
Canvassers Report Tonight.
All canvassers are to report at the Loan Headquarters in the CRIMSON Sanctum between 6 and 8 o'clock tonight to receive instructions. Any other members of the University who are interested or who have questions to ask should come at the same time. A Law School Committee will be appointed some time today.
Designs for the College Victory Liberty Loan poster should be left at the CRIMSON Building not later than 6 o'clock this evening. These posters may be of any size and should be in not more than three colors. "SURPASS RECORD"--PETERS Boston April 18, 1919.
