Both the University and Freshman competitions for places on the tennis teams are rapidly narrowing down to a few men. In yesterday afternoon's trials for the University team the results were as follows: De Turrenne defeated Chapin, 6-2, 6-2; Helm defeated Robinson, 6-3, 7-5; Rowe defeated Richards, 4-6, 9-7, 6-2; Fenno defeated Widde, 6-0, 6-3; Knox defeated Le Forgee, 6-4, 10-8; Hyams defeated Robb, 6-2, 6-2; Frost defeated Shaw, 6-1, 5-7, 7-5; Weaver defeated King, 6-3, 6-1.

Although cuts have been made in both the University and Freshman squads, nevertheless the men who will represent the University are still unchosen. The most promising men among the University candidates are: Hatch, Hyams, Helm, De Turrenne, Hanighen, Robinson and Fenno.
