April 25, the day of the 26th Division parade in Boston will be a holiday in the College. This announcement came yesterday afternoon as a result of a meeting of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, which voted to give an all day holiday in its several departments of the University.
The Y. D. parade which is to consist of 18,000 men will take three hours to pass a given point and, as it is scheduled to start at 1 o'clock, should march for at least five hours before the last of the column reaches the dispersing place.
Starting at Beacon and Charles streets the men go through Park, Tremont, Boylston, and Arlington streets, thence along Commonwealth ave. northeast to Charles-gate, from there back along Commonwealth avenue and through Berkeley, and Boylston streets, Massachusetts and Columbus avenues until it reaches Park Square where it will be dismissed.
