For the twenty-eighth time the University has the privilege of welcoming the annual convention of the Harvard Teachers' Association. This body, not as well known, possibly, as some other alumni organizations, is nevertheless a potent instrumentality in the furtherance of the purposes and ideals of the University. One of the ever present duties of the College is to extend the scope of its influence in the secondary schools; there is no more effective manner of doing this than through the co-operation of alumni engaged in the work of instructing in those schools.
