NEW FENCING CUP OFFERED

The Harvard Fencers Club has offered a cup for the winner of a Novice Foils Tournament to be held in the fencing room over Randolph Gymnasium tomorrow evening. Any member of the University who has not fenced for more than one year at college, and who has not won first place in a tournament, is eligible to compete. All men who wish to enter should report in the fencing room at the Gymnasium between 4 and 5.30 o'clock today.

The 1919 fencing season closed with the Intercollegiate Meet held last Saturday at the Hotel Astor in New York. The University team won third place, and made up for its previous defeat at the hands of Yale by scoring a decisive victory of 8-2 over that college. E. R. Gay '19, captain of the University team, tied Capt. Bloomer of Columbia for the intercollegiate championship,. but was beaten in the fence-off for the title by a close score.

Two Entrants for National Tourney.

W. Russell '19, captain of the 1917 team and former national dueling champion, has returned to College, and with Gay, will enter the National. Championship Tournament which is scheduled to take place in New York City on April 26. These men will form a strong representation for the University.
