SPRING TRACK CANDIDATES COMMENCE WORK MARCH 31

MANAGERS CALLED OUT

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The 1919 spring track season will open formally on the Monday after vacation, when all candidates for the University and 1922 teams will be called out. Coaches Donovan and Farrell will be at the Locker Building on that afternoon, and all men interested in track, whether they have had any experience or not, should report to them. Candidates for the second assistant managership will report on the same day.

The University is to participate in three dual meets: with Technology, Princeton, and Yale at New Haven. In addition to these the University will be represented at the Penn. Relay Carnival, the Spring Handicap Meet, and the Intercollegiate, of which the last two will be held in the Stadium.

Excellent Opportunity for New Men.

There is an unusually good opportunity for in experienced men to make the team this year. Pole-vaulters, shot-putters, and quarter-milers are needed especially; and men who have any ability in these events will have an excellent chance of competing against Yale.

The competition for second assistant manager is open to all members of 1921 who are in good standing at the College Office. Candidates will compete until May 21, the date of the Intercollegiate. At that time, the second assistant manager of the track team, and second assistant manager of the University cross-country team will be appointed.
