A terrible instance of one of our own American shortcomings is illuminated. These outlaws (the Bolsheviki) are largely Russian Jews, whom we permitted to breed anarchy in the slums of New York. We have long had the problem of the city slum, and we have failed to deal with it. To have civilized and Christianized the slums twenty years ago would have been to prevent the horrors that are taking place in Russia today. THE CHURCHMAN.
