When the University lacrosse team meets Yale on May 17, it will be the first formal athletic contest staged in the Bowl since the spring of 1917. It will also mark the resumption of lacrosse as a University sport for the first time since 1916.
H. Cochran '15, who played goal on the University championship team in 1915, will coach and J. D. Hale '19 will act as captain until the team can elect its leader. Practice for the players who may get equipment for practice during the recess at Randolph 50, will begin immediately after the spring recess.
The opportunity for inexperienced men is very good, since none of the former University players have returned, and the only available material, at present, are former members of the 1919 Freshman team. The University schedule as far as it is complete, is as follows:
April 12.--Andover.
April 19.--Boston LacrosseClub.
May 3.--Yale.
May 10.--Boston Lacrosse Club.
May 17.--Yale at New Haven.
