Defeating the 1919 relay team in the final event of the Winter Track Carnival yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field, the 1921 relay team of ten men won the class championship honors.
The make-up of the two teams follows: C. E. Dexter '22 running from scratch won the mile handicap in 4.53. H. Seabury '22 was second and G. A. Wason '20, third. The 600-yard was won by R. P. Cutler '22 with a handicap of 30 yards, from a field of ten men in the time of 1.20 4-5. J. A. McCarthy '22, 10-yard handicap, secured second place and S. C. Fisher Unc., 30-yard handicap, third. A. W. Douglass '21 and D. J. Duggan '20, starting from scratch, ran a fast race but were too greatly handicapped. In the 35-lb. hammer-throw the scratch man, A. Stevens '19, lost with a throw of 39 ft, 9 inches. G. G. Monks '21 won the event with a handicap of 12 ft. and a distance of 43 ft., 10 inches, C. A. Clarke, Jr., '19 with 12 ft. handicap secured second place, throwing 41 ft., 6 inches.
