Six final events, and the preliminaries of the interclass relays of the Winter Track Carnival took place at Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. In the first heats of the interclass relays 1921 defeated 1922, and 1919 defeated 1920. D. F. O'Connell '21 captain of the Sophomore relay team was prevented from running by injuries received after a bad fall in the 300-yard dash.

The summary of the other events follows:

40-yard dash won by E. O. Gourdin '21; second, F. F. Williams '20; third, Q. Howe '21; time, 5 seconds.

1000-yard run won by D. J. Duggan '20; second, R. P. Bolster Unc.; third, C. A. Page '21; time, 2 min., 27 1-5 sec.

300-yard dash won by Q. Howe '21; second, R. E. Larsen '21; third, J. Lee, Jr., '22, time not taken.

High-jump won by A. Perkins '20, 5 ft., 7 1-2 inches (2 1-2 inches handicap); second, E. O. Gourdin '21; third R. Page '22.

Pole-vault won by G. F. Fuller, Unc., 12 feet (3 foot handicap); second, A. Perkins '20; third, F. P. Johnson '20.

Shot-put won by E. O. Gourdin '21, 40 feet, 6 inches (6 foot handicap); second, C. A. Clark, Jr., '19, 39 feet, 5 inches, (scratch); third, R. P. Bolster, Unc., 37 feet, 3 inches, (7 foot handicap).
