TRACK CARNIVAL OPENS TODAY
40 AND 300-YD. DASHES, 1000-YD. RUN AND ALL FIELD EVENTS THIS AFTERNOON.
The Annual Winter Track Carnival will commence this afternoon at 3.45 o'clock with the 40-yard dash scheduled as the first event. Following in order are the 1000-yard run and the 300-yard dash. Preliminary heats for the Class Relay will be run off at 4.30, while the field events, shot-put, high-jump, and pole-vault, which take place in the Cage, will not be staged until between 5 and 6 o'clock.
Finals of the Relay Races, the 600-yard and mile-runs will be held tomorrow afternoon. Entries in the events scheduled for today are as follows:
