Five overtime matches were the feature of the wrestling meet in which the University and Freshman wrestling teams lost to Yale by respective scores of 19-7 and 17-8.
The best exhibition of wrestling was Mead's throwing of E. V. Parsonnet '21.
In the upperclass meet Captain J. M. MacDonell '21 and G. Baker '20 took their matches, while Captain J. F. Brown and G. V. Smith '22 scored the wins for the Freshman team, the latter in a one-minute fall. The summary of matches is as follows:
UNIVERSITY.
119-pounds--Smith, Yale won from G. Gardner '20, decision, after four minutes overtime.
129-pounds--G. Baker '20 threw Berry, Yale, time, seven minutes, ten seconds.
139-pounds--Simmons, Yale, threw C. P. Smith '21, time, five minutes, 45 seconds.
149-pounds--J. M. MacDonell '21 won from Cook, Yale, after four minutes overtime.
163-pounds--Gray, Yale, threw C. P. Anderson '21, three minutes, 50 seconds.
175-pounds--Mead, Yale, threw E. V. Parsonnet '21, time 8 minutes, 30 seconds.
Heavyweight--Defaulted to Williams, Yale.
FRESHMAN.
119-pounds--Smith, Yale, won from L. D. Baker '22, decision, after four minutes overtime.
129-pounds--Moore, Yale, won from D. H. Sanders '22, decision, in two minutes, 25 seconds.
139-pounds -- G. V. Smith '22, threw Cairns, Yale, in one minute.
149-pounds--Benjamin, Yale, won from J. F. Stearns '22 in four minutes overtime.
162-pounds--Kellogg, Yale, threw E. D. Weatherhead '22 in eight minutes, 55 seconds.
175-pounds--Guggins, Yale, won from C. C. Macomber '22, in four minutes overtime.
Heavyweight--J. F. Brown '22 threw Quaile, Yale, time, three minutes, 10 seconds.
