New Haven, Conn., Feb. 5, 1919.--The contest for the debating championship of Harvard, Yale, and Princeton will be held on the evening of Friday, May 2, one debate taking place at each of the three institutions. The triangular conference has agreed upon the above date for the university debates, and the evening of March 10 for the freshman debates.
Princeton will announce and Harvard will word the subject of the debate.
Twenty-one days for preparation will be allowed the university teams. Before April 11, when the subject of the debate will be announced, the team, consisting of six speakers and three alternates, will have been picked. As is customary in the triangular debating series the negative teams will remain at home.
