The Milton hockey team defeated the Freshmen 3 to 0 yesterday on the Cunningham rink. Neither side was able to score for the first eight minutes of play. Then Cabot, leading the Milton forwards, drew out the 1922 goal-guard and made the first score. Ladd netted the second tally two minutes later. In the second period, Phillips carried the puck the length of the rink and scored the final goal.
H. F. Colt played the best game for the 1922 team, but the forwards played poorly together. Both sevens showed plenty of fight, but the Milton combinations proved more effective than the individual Freshman attacks.
The summary follows: Score--1922 0, Milton 3. Goals--Cabot, Ladd, Phillips. Penalties--Baker, Angier, slashing; Martin, Graves, Colt, tripping; Lincoln, interference. Referee -- Grannan. Goal Umpires--Gates, Smith. Timer--Hubbard. Time--15-minute halves.
