TUBERCULOSIS FUND DRIVE OPENS TODAY AT 1 O'CLOCK

A. W. Douglass '21 Will Lead Team of Ten Canvassers in Collecting For New Hospital.

The University will take an active part in the new drive for $500,000 instituted by the Central New England Sanatorium. Through the efforts of Dr. Vincent Y. Bowditch '75, a University team consisting of ten men have been appointed. These men will canvass the University for the ten days of the drive, which begins today at one o'clock.

The team is as follows: A. W. Douglass '21, captain, J. M. Steele '21, J. Lee, Jr., '22, W. L. Cummings '21, P. Hofer '21, F. H. Cummings '21, H. P. Taggard '21, S. Damon '21, D. P. Ferguson '22, H. A. Houghton '21.

The purpose of the campaign is to collect sufficient funds to erect a tuberculosis sanatorium at Rutland, Vermont, which will cater especially to the middle classes of people with moderate means. When built the plant will be placed under the supervision of Dr. Bayard T. Crane '01.
