Major Robert Homans '94 has been chosen for Chief Marshall of the Commencement Day festivities. According to custom the Marshal has been selected from the class which will celebrate its 25th graduation anniversary next June.
Major Homans has recently returned from France where he was in service with the American Expeditionary Forces. He was commissioned a major of infantry at the First Officers' Training Camp at Plattsburg and assigned to the Transport and Military Police at Camp Devens where he was a member of the Board of Court Martial. In 1918 he was assigned to the Army General Staff College of the A. E. F. and sent to France.
Before the war Major Homans was a member of the law firm of Hill, Barlow, and Homans of Boston. He has served in the state legislature, and was for three years secretary of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
