The University track prospects are decidedly brighter than at the start of the winter season. Although only a few candidates have been reporting for the field events, the return of R. W. Harwood '20 has provided the team with a remarkable pole-vaulter. H. C. Flower '19 is reporting daily for practice in the sprints, while W. Moore '18, who with E. A. Teschner '17 was the University's mainstay in the dashes in 1917, has just announced that he expects to obtain his release from the Army in about two weeks.
Since no meet is scheduled for this Saturday, Coach Donovan expects to hold an informal handicap track carnival tomorrow afternoon. The events will include a 60-yard dash, 300, 600 and 1000-yard runs. There will be no competition for the field event men.
Tickets for the Boston Athletic Association Meet at Mechanics Hall on March 1 are on sale at the H. A. A. The price is $2.20 and $2.50, war-tax paid, for seats in the University's section.
