FRESHMAN ORATORS CHOSEN

Debating Squad Reduced to 2 Teams; Lumbard Elected President

At the trials held last night for the Freshman debating squad, two teams were picked as follows: Team 1; affirmative, J. E. Lumbard, G. P. Bickford, R. P. Hoagland; negative, E. D. Hutchinson R. K. Stretch, W. B. Leach; team 2, affirmative, D. Hettleman, B. F. Jones, H. W. Hardy; negative, S. A. Rosenblatt, R. N. Johnson.

Each of these teams will hold a trial debate, team 1 on Monday evening at 8 and team 2 on Friday evening at 7.30 o'clock. From the results of these trial debates a team will be chosen to debate against Yale and Princeton on March 10.

At the meeting last night the Freshman debaters chose the following officers: president, J. E. Lumbard, Jr.; vice-president, B. F. Jones; secretary, G. P. Bickford; treasurer, E. D. Hutchinson. An Executive Committee of R. K. Stretch and W. B. Leach was also elected.
