While the Peace Conference is industriously concocting a number of bitter potions for Hunnish consumption, it would perhaps be pertinent for the University to ruminate upon the ultimate destiny of the Germanic Museum. Like the German "kultur" whence it sprang, the continuation of its raison d'etre is no longer desirable, unless, of course, we should decide to perpetuate the results of "kultur" in an up-to-date chamber of horrors. The problem of disposition must somehow be solved. At present it is but a monument of disputed architectural beauty, and of no practical benefit to its founders or to the University.
