Almost twenty percent of the total number of men from the University who have been in the armed services of this country and the Allies are members of the Harvard Club of New York. According to Mr. Francis R. Appleton '75, president of the Club, who gave the figures to a CRIMSON reporter yesterday, the Harvard Club of New York has 1488 men on its service record. 900 more men from the club were engaged in an auxiliary service of some sort. This is almost exactly a third of the total on the University's auxiliary service record.

The total number of men from this club who took an active part in the war is therefore 2,388. This is over forty seven percent of the entire resident and non-resident membership of the club, 5,060, and is believed to be a record for service among college clubs.
