Over 70 Crew Enthusiasts Report For Voluntary Practice in Tank

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

More than 70 men are now reporting daily for the voluntary crew practice that is being held in the tank at Newell Boat House. No definite crews have been formed, and the men report as often as they wish to row for 20 minutes under the personal supervision of Coach Haines.

The plan of continuing rowing throughout the winter was originally devised for the Freshmen to satisfy their physical exercise requirements, but the new system has proved so popular among the upperclassmen that it has been enlarged to include all men who want the instruction. Many members of last year's Freshmen and University crews have been reporting regularly, and the interest shown in the present system will probably mean its permanent establishment here.
