ENDOWMENT FUND TOTAL SWELLS

1908 Leads in Class Campaign With 99 Per Cent. of Local Members Enrolled.

Nearly $70,000 was contributed in the Boston district yesterday to the University Endowment Fund as the result of the class canvass of the past three weeks. This brings the general fund to 71 per cent. of the required amount, and places Boston more than half a million dollars ahead of New York.

Another result of the class campaign was the issuance of the final ranking list with the class of 1908 at the top with 99 per cent of its class residing in the Boston district enrolled on the Endowment Fund lists. The class of 1885 was a close second, while 1901 and 1909 were also more than 90 per cent. enrolled.

The totals for the day were as follows: Boston,  $4,351,118 New York,  3,795,208 Outside,  2,675,818 Totals,  $10,322,144
