Local canvassers for the Endowment Fund secured pledges enough yesterday to bring the total amount of subscriptions up to within a few thousand dollars of 60 per cent of the desired $15,250,000. Contributions by Boston graduates and friends of the University amounted yesterly to nearly $50,000.

The gain of the last few days is one principally to the efforts of about a dozen of the seventy teams that are operating in this locality. The totals as they new stand at the beginning of the sixth week are as follows: Boston.  $3,622.494 New York,  3,281.808 Outside,  2,175.828 Total,  $9,080.120
