Endowment Over $9,000,000

Through the energetic work of solicitors in cities and towns outside of Boston and New York, the Harvard Endowment Fund passed the $9,000,000 mark yesterday. The fact that these favorable reports have been coming in from the outside districts lately is not surprising, in view of the fact that of the 26,000 alumni still to be heard from financially, 20,000 reside outside of the two principal cities. As a result of yesterday's efforts the following totals were announced last night: Boston, $3,614,704; New York, $3,275,808; outside districts, $2,170,811; grand total, $9,061,323.
