This afternoon Dr. Ananda K. Coomarasawamy of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts will give the first of his series of lectures on "Indian Art and Culture" in the Lecture Room of the Fogg Art Museum at 4.30 o'clock.
Dr. Coomarasawamy has been connected with the Boston museum for the last two years as keeper of the section of Indian and Hindoo art, on which subject he is a leading authority. He is now giving this course of lectures under the auspices of the Fine Arts Department, in accordance with an agreement made at the time of his appointment.
During the second half of the year he will conduct the course in research work listed as Fine Arts 20. The lecture today will be on "Rig Veda Upanishads, Vedanta, Yoga," and will be open to the public and all members of the University.
