Settle Class Debating Supremacy

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

To settle the class debating championship, the Sophomore and Senior teams will meet in Emerson D tonight at 7 o'clock. The question for discussion is the same as that in the two preliminary debates: Resolved, that the United States should officially enforce the plan of collective bargaining as advocated by the American Federation of Labor. The affirmative of this question will be up-held by Messrs. Rently, Stoddard, and Green for 1920, and the negative by Messrs. Phelps, Hardy, and Rosenhlaff for 1922.

In the qualifying round of the inter class debating tourney held Monday night between the Juniors and the Seniors the Seniors won an easy victory. In the second debate of the evening, the Sophomores had a more difficult task in defeating the Freshman team, although C. W. Phelps of the 1922 trio was the best individual speaker of the two debates.
