At 3 o'clock today the University team will meet Boston College in the Stadium in a game which promises to be more close than that of last Saturday, as the Boston team has already beaten the fighting team from the U. S. S. Utah 22-0. The game will also be of interest as a contest between Boston's open system of play and the closed system of Coach Fisher, and between the punting strength of R. Horween Occ. and Captain Fitzpatrick of Boston College, both users of the Brickley system. Much professional interest is taken in the result of Boston's surprise plays on the University line.
Frothingham Replaces Kane.
W. B. Frothingham '21 will replace R. K. Kane '22 at right tackle, owing to the latter's injury in the Bates game. J. K. Desmond Occ. and A. D. Hamilton '21 will go in at end and half-back, respectively, in place of E. D. Weatherhead '22 and S. Burnham Occ., who were hurt during the week's practice.
Corrigan, Boston's fast quarter-back, who was injured in last week's practice, has been kept on the side lines by Coach Cavanaugh, to insure his playing in this afternoon's game. Should Corrigan be unable to last the full time, Fitzpatrick, Boston's star punter, will direct the team, McElaney, the former Commerce athlete, taking his place in the back-field.
The newly organized University Band will play at the game this afternoon. Director F. L. Reynolds '20 announced that the music will start 15 minutes before the game, and selections will be given during the intermission.
