APPROVE TWO SOUTHERN TRIPS

TRAINING TABLES FOR HARRIERS AND SCRUB FOOTBALL MEN AUTHORIZED.

At a meeting of the Athletic Committee, held Thursday evening, Southern trips during the April recess were authorized for the baseball and lacrosse teams. This is the first year since 1916 that the teams have taken Southern trips. In the past the baseball trip has included games with the University of Virginia, West Point, Annapolis, Johns Hopkins and Columbia, while the University of Pennsylvania, the Mt. Washington Lacrosse Club and Annapolis have been on the lacrosse schedule.

It was also voted that hereafter oars will be given as trophies only to the winning University crews. This ruling will offset the last year's crew, which otherwise would have received oars. Training tables were authorized for a limited number of men from the second football team and the cross-country team.

J. Tilton '20 was appointed temporary captain of the Soccer team until Oct. 21, when a permanent captain will be elected.

The schedule of the baseball and soccer teams were presented for ratification, and will be announced as soon as minor corrections have been made by Mr. Moore and Dean Briggs.
