In a practice scrimmage with Noble and Greenough, the "D" Freshman team scored two touchdowns in three-quarters of an hour's play. The lighter preparatory school eleven forced the 1923 team to fight for every gain.
During the first few minutes of play, Daggett, receiving a forward pass, crossed the Noble goal-line after a pretty run through a scattered field. The school team played an aerial game to a large extent, and threatened the Freshman goal-line on several occasions. Quinn made the second 1923 touchdown when he recovered a blocked kick and sprinted 20 yards for a score.
