A concert will be given by the University Glee, Banjo and Mandolin Clubs in Jordan Hall, Boston, on the evening preceding the Harvard-Yale football game. Such was the announcement given out last night by W. W. Rowe '20, manager of the Banjo and Mandolin Clubs. The concert will begin at 8.15 o'clock and will end about 10.30, to allow the audience to get to the Harvard-Yale ball at the Copley-Plaza the same evening.
Tickets for the concert will be on sale for $2.20, $1.15, and $1.10, at Leavitt & Peirce's, Co-operative Branch store, Herrick's, Harvard Club of Boston, Crimson Building, and the box office at Jordan Hall.
Arrangements have also been made for a Glee, Banjo and Mandolin Club concert at Princeton at 8.15, November 6, the evening preceding the Princeton game.
The University Glee, Banjo and Mandolin Clubs will unite to give several other concerts during the College year. Plans are being made to include in the combined schedule concerts at Fall River, at Smith College, and at Portland, Maine. In addition, the Banjo and Mandolin Clubs will give several concerts by themselves. The first of these will be at Middlesex School on November 1.
The Glee Club will also fill a schedule of operatic concerts during the fall. This schedule will include a concert in Sanders Theatre on December 4, and a Sunday afternoon concert at the Harvard Club of Boston on the seventh. Two days before Christmas it will sing at Carnegie Hall, New York.
