Major Rand Injured in Accident; Condition Reported as Improving

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Major Waldron H. Rand '98, 11th Regiment, M. S. G., was severely injured Sunday noon when the horse which he was riding was killed in a collision with an automobile. Major Rand himself suffered a fractured left leg and several lacerations about the head. His condition Monday was considered critical, but the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital reported him last night as very comfortable.

Major Rand will be remembered as one of the State Guard officers attached to the University R. O. T. C. camp in the summer of 1918. Last fall he commanded the Junior company of the Harvard S. A. T. C.

Yale and Colgate Universities have received a bequest of $100,000 each.
