SPALDING SOLOIST AT FIRST BOSTON SYMPHONY CONCERT

Opening Musicale of Cambridge Season Takes Place on Oct. 16.

Albert Spalding, the American violinist, will be the soloist at the first Boston Symphony Concert of the season, to be held in Sanders Theatre on Thursday evening, October 16, at 8 o'clock.

This is the first of a series of eight concerts to be given by the Symphony Orchestra in Cambridge, one each month and two in April, under the leadership of Pierre Monteaux.

The solo artists who will appear at these concerts include Vera Janaeopulos, soprano, November 13; George T. Boyle, piano, December 18; Jean Bedette, cello, January 15; Martha Baird, piano, February 12; Laura Littlefield, soprano, March 4; Albert Stoessel, violin, April 1, and Madeline Beard, piano, April 22.

Season tickets for the entire series may now be purchased at Kent's Book Store for $7.00.
