Whereas the English A Department has seen fit to introduce into the composition course of English A study of "Military English", and

Whereas such study is in a highly specialized, and to most men nearly useless field of composition.

Therefore the undersigned members of the Class of 1922 and students in English A, do earnestly petition the Department to form a section or sections, in which the regular work of the course, or such other general work as the Department may decide on, shall be carried on.

(This petition is signed by 130 members of the Freshman class).
