The Officers' Material School will continue at the University until the present Junior class graduates, which will be about April 18. The Senior class will graduate February 20. Each class contains about 150 men. After graduation the men become ensigns in the United States Naval Reserve Force, and most of them will be placed on inactive duty.
In addition to the regular drill, all the men have four daily classes, in navigation, regulations, ordnance, and seamanship. There is also an evening study-hour of one hour and a half in Widener Library. Reveille is at 5.45 and taps at 9.30, and the men have hardly any time off during the day.
The United States Naval Radio School will probably remain at the University until shortly after April 1.
The Officers' Material School at present occupies Matthews Hall and Wadsworth House, and these buildings will be retained as long as the training is carried on in the University. When the College buildings now occupied by the Naval Radio School will be again available for academic use is still uncertain.
