Community Labor Board Seeks Employment for Many Soldiers

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

R. B. Williams '96, has been appointed chairman of the Boston Community Labor Board, which covers Boston and vicinity, not including Cambridge. These boards, of which there are 45 in Massachusetts, have been organized throughout by the United States Employment Bureau for Returning Soldiers and Sailors. At present there are more than 200 discharged men in Boston alone who have not been able to obtain positions, and Mr. Williams suggests that the board be immediately advised of positions open in Boston and vicinity. Any employer who has such positions will be doing patriotic service by informing the board of their nature and the wages attached.

The headquarters of the board is located at Liberty Cottage on the Boston Common.
