More than 50 candidates have reported for University and Freshman swimming teams, and a cut has already been made in the squads. All regular candidates for either the University or 1922 teams are now practising twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, under the supervision of Coach Waters, of the Cambridge Y. M. C. A. The swimming class, open to any member of the University without charge, is held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons in the Cambridge Y. M. C. A. tank.
The 1922 swimmers will meet Andover at Andover on February 8. Other meets which will be arranged for the Freshmen are with the Yale 1922, at New Haven, with Brookline High School, English High School, Huntington School, Boston Y. M. C. A. and the M. I. T. Freshmen.
