At the meeting of the Athletic Committee last night, it was decided to put hockey back in its former position as a major and formal University sport. In addition, the following tentative schedule for the Freshman seven was drawn up, and approved by the members of the committee. All games are to be played on the Charlesbank rink, unless otherwise stated:
Jan. 22.--St. Marks, at Southboro.
Jan. 25.--Exeter, at Cambridge.
Jan. 29.--Andover, at Cambridge.
Feb. 1.--Pomfret, at Pomfret.
Feb. 4.--Newton High, at Cambridge.
Feb. 8.--St. Paul's, at Concord, N. H.
Feb. 15.--Yale, at Cambridge.
If the ice lasts later than the Yale game, there will be additional contests with teams from high schools around Boston. It is expected that practice games will be played with these schools as often as they can be arranged.
The University hockey schedule has not yet been completed, but it has been definitely decided to have a game with Yale. Practice will be continued and contests arranged for the remainder of the season. If the new eligibility rules permit dropped students to play the team will be materially strengthened.
