Princeton will resume athletics on a pre-war basis but along more desired lines. Coaches are to be associated with the faculty through the department of physical education. Unnecessary expenses are to be cut down by curtailing extravagant salaries for coaches and the expense and extent of trips. "Secret practice" and "scouting" will be eliminated. The general decrease in the number of games to be played by any one team, and the reduction of the cost of admission to games for members of the competing colleges will be effected. It is planned to have three or four teams represent Princeton in each sport to compete with teams of equal calibre of other colleges. The entire plan is an effort to develop "mass athletics."
