HOCKEY MEETING TONIGHT

The members of last year's University and Freshman hockey squads, as well as all other undergraduates interested in the sport, will meet in the H. A. A. this evening at 7 o'clock to discuss the resumption of hockey this winter. R. E. Gross '19, captain and coach of the informals last year, and E. L. Bigelow '21, captain of last year's Freshman team, will each give a short talk on plans for the season.

The question of the University's participation in intercollegiate hockey has not been determined and will not be until the meeting of the Athletic Committee early this month. Dean Briggs, chairman of the committee, stated yesterday to a CRIMSON reporter that be believed the chances for a regular seven which would compete in the Yale and Pinceton were "precarious," owing to the lateness of the season, the destruction of the Boston arena, and the situation at the other universities. He also declared, however, that the re-establishment of a regular base ball team was "very probable," and although he expressed no opinion in regard to crew and track it is understood that they will be resumed as usual.

Many members of the 1918 Informal and Freshman hockey squads will return to College this year. Among those who would be candidates for the seven are: A. H. Bright '19, W. A. Flagg '19, R. E. Gross '19, Edward Cabot '20, C. C. Adams '21, J. A. Sessions '21, H. B. W. Snelling '21, M. P. Davis '21; defence, H. K. White '19, C. A. Clark '19, R. S. Humphrey '21, H. P. King '21, G. S. Baldwin '21; goals, Jabish Holmes '21, and C. S. Stillman '21. With this material it would be possible to develop a strong team, despite the loss of the few weeks' practice before the vacation. On account of the loss of the Arena, both University and Freshman squads would be forced to hold practice in the Stadium.

Little is known as yet about the material available for this year's Freshman team. All members of the class of 1922 who are interested in the sport are urged to attend the meeting this evening. Freshman hockey this season will be run as in former seasons. All 1922 managerial candidates should report at the H. A. A. at 1 o'clock today.
