Students who are to enter the Government June Camp will be at the disposal of the Commandant of the Training Corps for such duty as he may order from the end of the period of special final examinations until the opening of the Camp.
The above statement is the result of a conference held yesterday morning between President Lowell and Dean Yeomans. At first it had been the plan of the College authorities to require the men going to the June Camp to undergo a period of intensive training immediately after the completion of the early final examinations, followed by a two-weeks' vacation before the opening of the Camp. Upon further consideration, however, it was decided to leave the decision in this matter entirely in the hands of the University military authorities.
Major Flynn has as yet made no announcement as to the action which the Military Office will take with regard to the activities of candidates for the June Camp during the coming month. It is thought however, that arrangements will be made for carrying on a short course of intensive military instruction, followed by a short respite before the men-enter upon their duties at the Government school. Further particulars as to the action that will be taken by the military authorities in this matter will be published at an early date.
