JUNE CAMP INTENSIVE TRAINING ENDS MAY 28

REPORT AGAIN JUNE 3.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yesterday it was officially announced by the University military authorities that the course of intensive training for men going to the Government camp at Plattsburg next month would terminate on Tuesday, May 28, after the completion of the final regimental exercise of the college year, which will be held on that date before an assemblage of visiting officers from other university corps. The men will then be free until June 3, when they are to report at the encampment on Lake Champlain.

R.O.T.C. Will Clothe Candidates.

A telegram, received yesterday at the Headquarters Office, announces the fact that all men who are to attend the June Camp will be expected to supply their own uniforms. As a result of this information the R. O. T. C. officials have decided to allow all the University quota for this training school to draw uniforms from the regimental supply department for use at Plattsburg.

The telegraphic advice from the Commanding General of the Eastern Department gave further information on the equipment of the R. O. T. C. men while at Plattsburg. The cadets will furnish their own uniforms, but the Quartermaster Corps will supply bedding and camp equippage, and complete sets of infantry equipment will be ready for use by each man.

To Provide Full Equipment

One woolen uniform, including shirts, campaign hat and puttees, will be issued by the R. O. T. C. supply department to each member of the June Camp Detachment for use at the training school; and two pairs of cotton breeches will also be allowed each cadet for drill purposes at the camp. This uniform equipment will, of course, be turned in immediately upon the termination of the Government camp unless the cadet is returning to Cambridge to serve in the summer training course of the R. O. T. C.

ORDNANCE DEPARTMENT WILL GIVE INFANTRY EQUIPMENT

Boston, Mass., May 16, 1918.

Commanding General, Eastern Department, advises that no clothing of any kind will be furnished at Plattsburg camp, Bedding and camp equipment will be furnished at the camp by Q. M. C. Rifles and complete sets of Infantry equipment will be supplied at the camp by Ordnance Dept. WILLIAMS.
