The completed reports of the scores made on the last three week-ends by the members of Military Science 1 at the rifle range at Wakefield indicate that Company B, with an average score c 124, made the highest record. Company F took the second place and Company H the third, with scores of 122.8 and 122.5, respectively. The First Battalion contained the only two Experts of the Regiment in J. C. Burchard '21 of Company D, who led with a total of 174, and B. Schlack '21 of Company A, who made the second highest individual score of 170. Company B and Company K tied for highest places in the number of sharpshooters, each having five men who totalled more than 145 points. Company F had 12 marksmen, Company L 11 and Company A 10.
The average for the Regiment of the company scores is 117.8, and the average of the highest company scores is 159. The summary follows:
