The annual Student Conference at Northfield will be held this year from June 13 to June 21, inclusive, instead of from June 18 to 28, as previously announced. An elaborate program has been planned, and the activities of the delegates will have special relation to the war. John R. Mott, LL.D., who spoke at the University last fall after his return from Y. M. C. A. work in Russia, is expected to be present as presiding officer and will address the members concerning his recent experiences abroad.
Delegates from all the important colleges of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Rhode Island will attend the conference which is meeting this year with the Eagles Mere Conference which includes in its membership students from universities in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Each morning prominent speakers will discuss subjects vitally related to the war, and our mission in national and international affairs as a Christian nation. There will be a special normal training class for men who are to lead Bible study groups, in addition to the customary periods for the study of the Bible.
Recreation Program Arranged.
In the afternoon the usual program of recreation will be carried out, with baseball, tennis and other sports. The success of last year's effort to organize the recreational activities so that all the delegates might participate was so marked that special emphasis will again be laid on this part of the program.
At the evening sessions men who have had special opportunities of gaining first-hand knowledge of the possibilities afforded by missionary work will be brought to the Conference to present different phases of the task of Christianizing the world.
