TOURNAMENT ENTRIES INCREASE

Will be Several Men in Each Boxing and Wrestling Class.

The number of contestants who will enter the annual University boxing and wrestling championships, which are to be held in Brattle Hall on March 21, is growing steadily, and it is now expected that there will be several competitors in each event. Silver medals will be awarded to the winner in each class of both the boxing and the wrestling events, and bronze medals will go to those who take second place.

The boxers are divided into two sets this year for training. One group is working under Coach Foley in the Randolph Gymnasium, while the other is being trained by Coach Dave Deschler, former New England lightweight champion, well known for his victory over Young Corbett.

The candidates for the University wrestling honors are under the charge of Coach Anderson, who also has the training of the 1921 wrestling team. More than 30 men are going to compete in this sport at the preliminaries, which will be held on March 18 or 19. Two men will be selected at that time to compete in each weight for the University title.

The Athletic Association has decided to start the tournament at 8.15 in the evening, or even a little later, in order to allow the men with lectures in Military Science time to prepare for their matches. The B. A. A. ring, which is of regulation 24-foot size, will probably be set up on the stage at Brattle Hall for the boxing events.
