Announcement was made from Headquarters' Office yesterday that Captain A. McC. McDonell will inspect the members of the Second and Third Battalions on Soldiers Field at 7.30 o'clock tomorrow morning, upon his return to Cambridge. This inspection will be of the same official nature as that which took place on Tuesday afternoon, and the result will figure prominently in Captain McDonell's report to the War Department.

In his statement regarding the appearance of the Corps in the inspection on Tuesday afternoon, Captain McDonell mentioned but one fault to be found with the men of the University R. O. T. C., the fact that many of the cadets had not provided themselves with regulation army shoes, but wore variegated types of footgear to formations. "The tendency on the part of your men to wear civilian shoes to formations should be stopped for two reason," said the inspector. "In the first place it looks bad, and is absolutely contrary to army regulations; and secondly, it must be pointed out that army shoes were built for men living upon their feet, and if a man wears other shoes in military formations he is liable to suffer from injured feet as a result."

Owing to the break in the regular drill schedule of Companies E and F occasioned by this inspection, those two companies will assemble for their weekly drill hour in the Stadium at 7.30 o'clock on Saturday.

Members of the Topography class in Military Science 2 will be given a lecture by Professor Ward this evening in the Geological Lecture Room at 7.15 o'clock.

Men in the Second and Third Battalions who are at present without belts, bayonets or other equipment should borrow the needed articles from members of the First Battalion. All ordnance and equipment must be thoroughly cleaned, but cosmoline will be left in the barrels of all rifles.
