SENIORS MUST BE MEASURED FOR GOWNS BEFORE APRIL 10

1918 Contract Awarded to Cottrell and Leonard; Co-operative Acting As Agents.

The contract for the 1918 caps and gowns has been given to the firm of Cottrell & Leonard, of Albany, N. Y., it was announced yesterday by the Senior Class Day Committee. As in former years, all Seniors will start wearing the cap. and gown May 1.

The Harvard Co-operative has consented to act, as agent for Cottrell & Leonard; and will measure all 1918 men for their caps and gowns. Measurements for gowns, to be delivered by May 1. must be made before April 10. Applications made after April 10 will be filled at a slightly higher price.

The contract as arranged with Cottrell & Leonard provides for a price of $5.50 for the standard cap and gown.

As is customary at the University, Seniors will wear the cap and gown every morning, beginning May 1, and continuing until Commencement. Candidates for the A.B. degree wear tassels and braid of silver. Those who are to receive the S.B. degree wear gold, while all class officers wear crimson tassels and braid.
