Several surprises marked the first preliminaries for the University boxing and wrestling championships which were held yesterday afternoon in Randolph Gymnasium. C. A. Morss '19, who won the 135-pound boxing title last year, lost the decision after he had fought an extra round with S. B. Colby '21. In the heavyweight boxing class, G. W. Helm '20 was outpointed by R. M. Sedgwick '21 in the feature match of the afternoon. Owing to the late start which was made it was found necessary to postpone some of the preliminary matches and these will be held today in Randolph Gymnasium at 3.30 o'clock.
